창동예술촌

창동예술촌은 옛 마산 원도심권 (창동/오동동권역)의 잃어버린 상권기능회복과 지역예술의 활성화를 위해 창원시가 추진한 도시재생 선도사업의 일환으로 지난 2012년 5월에 조성되어 운영되고 있는 공간이다. 1960~1970년대 문화·예술의 중심지였던 마산의 추억과 향수를 느낄 수 있는 이곳은 크게 문신예술 / 마산예술흔적 / 에꼴드 창동이라는 3가지 테마로 구성되어 재미있는 스토리와 함께 다양한 볼거리. 즐길거리의 체험이 상시 가능하다. 그리고 공모를 통해 선정된 다양한 분야의 입주작가들이 체험공방을 운영하여 방문객들에게 현장체험 및 교육의 기회를 제공하고 있다.

Changdong Arts Village

Chang-dong Art Village is a part of the city revitalization project started by Changwon-city in order to recover the lost commercial function and revitalize the local art of old Masan original downtown area (Chang-dong / Odong-dong Area); it is a place that has been formed and managed since May 2012. This is the place where people can feel the memories and the nostalgia for Masan which was the center of art and culture from 1960’s to 1970’s, and it is composed of three themes broadly; Moonshin Art, Masan Art Marks, and Ecole de Chang-dong; people can enjoy various tractions and entertainments any time. Also, residing artists who are selected through an art contest manage workshops and provide visitors with the site experiences and educational opportunities.
